Even amid the packed sculptures and cluttered corners, the studio remains a place of observation. My gaze wanders over surfaces, capturing the details and textures that light reveals or conceals. Every relief, every fold and every shadow play becomes a source of inspiration.
Observe to invent
I am drawn to the cracked surface of an old painting, the reliefs of the stone walls and the raw grain of the concrete ceiling. My eyes linger on these subtleties and layers of the studio that tell invisible stories. These unexpected textures create a world that lies somewhere between reality and imagination.
Each photograph transforms these fragments into strange landscapes. A stone relief evokes geological strata ; raw concrete reveals lunar craters ; and cracks form organic networks. Hidden within these details are shapes that could be used to create sculptures, wall panels or architectural features.
From workshop to projects
My creations for your projects are inspired by my observational work. The textures I discover inspire sculpted surfaces that adapt to the specific requirements of each location. A hotel requires tactile softness ; a restaurant plays with shadows ; and a private office seeks refined discretion.
My approach remains consistent : I start with these random materials and create pieces that interact with the existing space. There is no catalogue and no series ; each project reveals its own needs.
In the fertile chaos of the workshop, anything can be transformed. Each observed fragment becomes a source of inspiration, each constraint a driving force and each project a new adventure with materials. The workshop is never static ; it breathes and mutates as it prepares the forms of tomorrow. Here, nothing can be reproduced ; everything is yet to be invented.
